The most widely used portable PA speaker ever made. 1000 watts of clean, punchy output with built-in DSP, feedback destroyer and application-specific voicing modes. Powered subwoofers
Dual 18-inch 1200-watt active subwoofers from one of the most respected names in professional audio. The ELX200-18SP is engineered and manufactured by Electro-Voice, not a rebrand. Lightweight for an 18-inch sub at under 29kg, but producing up to 132dB SPL. Two of these paired with the Mackie tops gives you a full professional PA capable of serving up to 250 people outdoors with authority.
Mixer
A professional-grade compact mixer from a brand trusted by recording studios, live venues and broadcast engineers. Clean preamps, onboard effects and straightforward operation. Every audio source (DJ equipment, microphones, instruments, laptops) runs through this for a balanced, controlled mix rather than plugging directly into the speakers.

If you have someone who knows their way around a PA, or the setup is simple enough that anyone can manage it, collect from our base in Saltdean, East Sussex and save on service costs. All equipment arrives cable-ready with clear setup guidance. Perfect for DJs, bands and event teams who just need quality kit without the day rate.
We deliver to your venue, set everything up, run a soundcheck and make sure it all works perfectly before we leave. The Gigbar lighting is configured and ready to go automatically. You run the show from there. Ideal for corporate events, private parties and weddings where the client is confident operating equipment once it’s set and tested.
For events where you want to focus on being a host rather than a sound engineer. We arrive early, set up, soundcheck, manage levels throughout the event, handle any technical issues that arise and collect everything at the end. The fully managed package includes the complete rig: PA, Gigbar lighting, Gravity DJ stand, mixer and wireless microphones. Every base covered in one booking.
04 / Why Good Frequency
When you call Good Frequency you speak to the person who actually turns up with the kit. Not a booking agent, not a national call centre. We know the county, we know the venues, and we know what outdoor events in Sussex need, because we live and work here.
The price you see is the price you pay. Delivery, setup and collection is a flat £60 within 15 miles of Saltdean and £125 from 15 to 50 miles, and dry hire is collected free. No inflated day rates, and it’s all shown at quote stage, not added on the invoice.
Good Frequency carries full public liability insurance to £5 million. Whether you’re booking a village fete in Lewes or a corporate evening in Brighton, you can confirm our insurance details with your venue before booking.
05 / How it works
Get in touch via the quote form, WhatsApp or phone and tell us about your event: the venue, the date, the expected number of guests and what you need the PA for. We’ll recommend the right package and confirm availability. For dry hire, we’ll agree a collection time from our Saltdean base.
We recommend two people for the large PA package as the EV subwoofers weigh 29kg each. Everything is cable-ready and we’ll go through setup with you before you leave. For setup and leave or fully managed bookings, we handle logistics from our end.
We’ll confirm access requirements with you in advance, arrive at the agreed time and have everything ready before your guests arrive. A 25% deposit secures your date, which we may retain if you cancel. The balance is due 14 days before the event, or in full upfront if you book within 14 days.
